Covers are deeply personal. They serve as a bridge between the author’s heart and the reader’s expectations, signaling exactly what kind of journey lies within the pages.
For my projects, the process is even more intimate because the cover must include a painting by my husband. He is my steady ground through every high and low of the writing process. I’m especially grateful for his patience when I lose myself in a story and he steps in to handle the world around us.

I am officially in the proofing stage of I Was Just So Lonely, and I am completely in love with the atmosphere he captured for this piece. It’s more than just art; you could say it’s helped me cover my loneliness.
