Lea is a mom, a billing pro, and a woman who decides to stop waiting for friendship to find her.

In this warm, wry contemporary novel about motherhood, grief, and the messy business of making adult friends, watch Lea go from lonely to found as she tests apps, moms groups, and late-night bar confessions.

A smart, character-driven read for fans of women s fiction, cozy small-town settings, and honest domestic humor.

This fiction was inspired by the feelings but not events from Ashley’s quest to find a new Katie in North Carolina.

Reviews:

5 out of 5 Stars “Great story! I have this feeling that I’m peaking in on someone’s life and their personal journey to find a friend. Very easy read, fun format.

I have finished!

This book is very different from the scifi, military stuff, and tech books that I read. And I enjoyed every moment of it.

Without giving away the plot, let me give an angle on it … imagine stepping into a strangers life and reading about the things that matter to them by flipping pages in their journal. The journal is a journey to find friends, deal with work, winning and losing, and living. When finished, you’d like to believe this person could be your friend because the journey they were on is probably about the same for the rest of us.

While reading this book, I also read Purple State by Dana Perino (also a very great book). In a funny way, these two books were counter points to each other, making each other a better story.

I could have read the book in a few days…I’m glad I took almost a month – more time to appreciate it.

Well done Ashley!”
